τῷ ἀγαπητῷ καὶ πατρὶ ΔιογένειΔιογένη Βαρὺς ὁ ἀδελ φὸς ἐν κυρίῳ χαίρεινχαίριν. εἰδώς σου τὴν ἀγάπην καὶ τὴν θεοσέβειαν ἣν ἔχεις πρὸς ἡμᾶς, κύριέ μου πάτερ, διʼ αὐ τὸ τοῦτο ἔγραψά σοι, ἀξι ῶν σε, ἵνα μὴ ἐπιβαρή σω τοῦ ἐλθεῖν πρὸς σέ, εἰδώς σου τὴν ἀσχολίαν. τοῦτο οὖν σε ἀξιῶ, οὐκ ἐπιτάσσων, περὶ Ὥρου, περὶ οὗ ἐλάλησέν σοι Παθερμοῦθεις, πε ρὶ αὐτοῦ, εἰ δυνατόν ἐστιν, συγχωρῆσαισυνχωρῆσε αὐ τῷ ταύτην τὴν τε τράμηνον, ἐπειδὴἐπιδὴ πά νυπάνοι μέτριός ἐστιν καὶ ἔχει χωρίον Σερηνιανῷ. τῷ γὰρ Ἁθὺρ μέλλειμέλλι ἀπο τάξασθαιἀποταξε αὐτῷ ἵνα σχολάσῃ τῇ λειτουργίᾳλιτουργίᾳ. δυνατὸς ὁ θεὸς φυλάξαιφυλάξε σε, ἔστʼ ἂν ἐκτελέσῃς τὴν λειτουρ γίανλιτουργίαν, ἀπρόσκοπον. ἐρρῶσθαίἐρρῶσθέ σε εὔχομαιεὔχομε πολλοῖς χρόνοις.
