κυρίῳ μου πατρὶ Ἰωσῇ καὶ τῇ συμβίῳ μου Μαρίᾳ Ἰούδας. προηγουμένως εὔχομαι τῇ θείᾳθίᾳ προνοίᾳ περὶ τῆς ὑμῶν ὁλοκληρίας ἵνα καὶ ὑγιαίνοντας ὑμᾶς ἀπολάβω. πᾶν οὖν ποίησον, κυρία μου ἀδελφή, πέμψον μοι τὸν ἀδελφόν σου, ἐπειδὴἐπιδὴ εἰς νόσον περιέπεσα ἀπὸ πτώματος ἵππου. μέλλοντός μου γὰρ στραφῆναι εἰς ἄλλο μέρος, οὐ δύναμαι ἀφʼ ἐμαυτοῦ, εἰ μὴ ἄλλοι δύο ἄνθρωποι ἀντιστρέψωσίν με καὶ μέχρις ποτηρίου ὕδατος οὐκ ἔχω τὸν ἐπιδίδοντάἐπιδίδουντά μοι. βοήθησον οὖν, κυρία μου ἀδελφή. σπουδαῖόν σοι γενέσθω ὅπως τὸ τάχος πέμψῃς μοι, ὡς προεῖπον, τὸν ἀδελφόν σου. εἰς τὰς τοιαύτας γὰρ ἀνάγκας εὑρίσκονται οἱ ἴδιοι τοῦ ἀνθρώπου. ἵνα οὖν καὶ σὺσοὶ παραβοηθήσῃς μοι τῷ ὄντι ἐπὶ ξένης καὶ ἐν νόσῳ ὄντι. καὶ πλοῖον ἐπεζήτησα ἐμβῆναιἐνβῆναι καὶ οὐχ εὗρον τὸν ἐπιζητοῦντά μοι. ἐν τῇ γὰρ Βαβυλῶνεί εἰμίεἰμεί. προσαγορεύω τὴν θυγατέρα μου καὶ πάν τας τοὺς φιλοῦντας ἡμᾶς κατʼ ὄνομα. καὶ ἐὰν χρείανχρίαν ἔχῃς κέρματος, λάβε παρὰ Ἰσὰκ τοῦτον κολοβοῦκολοβον, τοῦτον ἔγγισταἔνγιστα σοι μένοντοςμενοντα ἐρρῶσθαι ὑμᾶς εὔχομαι πολλοῖς χρόνοις. ἀπόδος συμ
