Ἑρμουπόλεως τῆς μεγάλης ἀρχαί ας σεμνοτάτης καὶ λαμπροτά της ἡ κρατίστη βουλὴ Αὐρηλίῳ Δημητρίῳ τῷ καὶ Φιλοθ ἀγο ρανόμῳ βουλευτῇ τῷ φιλτάτῳ χαίρειν. ἡ πολιτικὴ ἀγορὰ καὶ πρὸς κό σμον τῆς πόλεως ἄριστον οἰκοδό μημα καὶ πρὸς ὠφέλειαν οὐκ ὀ λίγα συμβάλλεται προσοδεύου σα ἀπὸ τῶν μισθουμένων τοὺς ἐν αὐτῇ τόπους ης σὺν ἐρευνητῇ τνεεχει ἁρμόζει γὰρ ἐπικοσμεῖν τὰ δημόσια οἰκοδομήματα, καταχω ριεῖς δὲ λόγους εἴς τε τὸ πολιτικὸν λογιστήριον καὶ οἷς προσήκει, λόγου φυλασσομένου τῇ πόλει καὶ τῇ βουλῇ περὶ οὗ ἔχουσι παντὸς δικαίου· διευτύχει. ἔτους β Αὐτοκράτορος Καίσαρος Μάρκου Αὐρηλίου Κλαυδίου Εὐσεβοῦς Εὐτυχοῦς Σεβαστοῦ Χοιὰκ λ.

Le très puissant Conseil d'Hermoupolis la Grande, [ancienne] et très vénérable et [très brillante], à [Aurélios] Démétrios appelé aussi Philoth (?) […], agoranome, conseiller municipal, notre très cher, salut. L'agora urbaine contribue non seulement pour l'ornementation de la ville en tant qu'édifice excellent, mais aussi pas peu pour l'utilité en [tirant] des revenus de ceux qui prennent en location des emplacements sur le marché […] avec un inspecteur […] car il convient [d'embellir les ?] édifices publics, et tu [déposeras] les comptes au bureau municipal de comptabilité [et devant ceux qui sont compétents], le droit de réclamation étant conservé [à la Ville] et au Conseil pour tout ce qui [leur revient.
