EN scholarly
To Messius Audax, centurio , from Stotoetis, son of Apynchis, priest from the village of Soknopaiou Nesos. Although Stotoetis alias Phanesis, son of Stotoetis, and his brothers Harpagathes and Horos, are in debt to me, they are making no effort to repay me, making excuses and delaying, and on top of that they attacked me, [acted violently] in a quite unfitting manner, [belaboured me with blows – – –]

About this record's data
  • From the source institution — accession, description, dimensions, and dating are as catalogued by Papyri.info — DDbDP (Duke Databank of Documentary Papyri) — text.
  • AI-inferred — the image-analysis panel (deities, names, signs) is machine-generated and may be wrong.
  • Approximate location — most map points are plotted at the site centroid, not the exact findspot.
  • Inferred links — cross-references marked with a match method other than explicit-source-field were matched by us, not stated by the source.
  • Inherited across the Trismegistos spine — a Trismegistos ID names one ancient text, and papyrology splits that text's description across databases: the edition in one, the date and provenance in another, the physical papyrus in a third. Fields tagged via … on this page were read from a sibling record under the same TM number, not asserted by Papyri.info — DDbDP (Duke Databank of Documentary Papyri) — text.
