Κεφαλίων Ἡρακλᾷ τῶι τι μιωτάτωιτειμιωτάτωι χαίρειν. γενόμενος ἐν Ἀλεξανδρείᾳ ἀνα φόρια παρέδωκα τῷ κυρίῳ ἡγε μόνι· καὶ οὐδέν μοι ὑπεγράφη μέ χρι τούτου. οὐ κάμνει δέ σου ὁ ἀντίδι κος ἐντυνχάνων. οὐδʼ ἐγὼ ὑποτυγ χάνωνὑποτυνχάνων, ὥστε ἀκοῦσαι με προσ καρτέρει τῇ τάξει, καὶ ὅταν ἀναγο ρευθῇς, ὑποτεύξῃ. τοῦτο δὲ οὐκ ἔσ ταιἔσσται ὀλίγου χρόνου, ὡς γε οἶμαι. ὁ γὰρ κύριος ἡγεμὼν ἐξέρχεται τῇ νεο μηνίᾳ τοῦ Ἁθὺρ εἰς Ἑρμοῦ πόλιν ἀπαρ τίσαι τὰς διαγνώσεις, καὶ προέθη κεν πρόσταγμα περὶ τούτου. ἐὰν οὖν δόξῃ σοι διαπέμψαι μοι δραχμὰς μ, καὶ ἐ πιστολὴν πρὸς τὸν παῖδα σου ὥστε παρʼ αὐτοῦ ἄλλας δραχμὰς μ λαβεῖν με, ἵνα ης τῇ ὅλῃ διμήνῳ ευ ενμενος πε Ἡρακλᾷ πρεσβυτέρῳ drawing ἀπὸ Κεφαλίωνος.
