τῷ δεσπότῃ μου τιμιωτάτῳ καὶ εὐλαβεστάτῳ Ἄπα Ἰωάννῃ Η Ἀβραὰμ ἐν κυρίῳ Θεῷ χαίρειν. ὡς καὶ πιστεύω ὅτι μέλεται μου καὶ τοῦ οἴκου μου σοι, εὐχαριστῶ τῇ σῇ θεοσεβείᾳ σου· οὕτω καί σου τὸ ἱερὸν πρόσωπον ἐν τῇ διανοίᾳ μου γίγνωσκέ με ἔχειν. προσαγορεύω σου τοιγαροῦν τὴν εὐλάβειάν σου διὰ τούτων μου τῶν γραμμάτων, παρα καλῶν ὅπως μνημονεύῃς καὶ ἐμοῦκαμοῦ τοῦ σε προσκυνοῦντος καὶ παντὸς τοῦ οἴκου μου ἐν αἷς ἀναπέμπεις ἀεὶ καὶ καθʼμεθʼ ἡμέραν εὐχαῖς τῷ κυρίῳκωριω σωτῆρισωτῆρει ἡμῶν. πέποιθα γὰρ ὡς διὰ τῶν ἁγιωτάτωνἁγιοτάτων σου εὐχῶν καὶ τοῦ καμάτου τούτου ἐν ᾧ ἐσμὲν ἐλευθερωθῆναι καὶ ἐπανελθεῖν πρὸς ὑμᾶς. λοιπόν, δέσπο τα, ἀληθῶς Θεοῦ ἄνθρωπε, καταξίωσον ἐν μνήμαις ἔχειν ἡμᾶς. προσαγόρευε παρʼ ἐμοῦ πάντας τοὺς σὺν σοὶ κάμνοντας ἀδελφούς. ὁ παντοκράτωρ Θεὸς διαφυλάξῃ σε ἐπὶ πολὺν χρόνον ἡμῖν τοῖς ἁμαρτωλοῖς, ἵνα διὰ τῶν σῶν ἁγιωτάτωνἁγιοτάτων εὐχῶν διασωθῶμενδιασωσθῶμεν διὰ τοῦ βίου. τῷ δεσπότῃ μου τιμιωτάτῳ καὶ εὐλαβεστάτῳ Ἄπα Ἰωάννῃ.
