τῷ ἀγαπητῷ ἀδελφῷ καὶ ηὐλογημένῳ ἐν τῷ θεῷ Παύλῳ Ἄπα Ἰωάννης βούλομαι μὲν καταξιωθῆναι ἀεὶ γράφειν τῇ σῇ θεοσεβείᾳ καὶ προσαγορεύειν τὴν ἀνεφάμιλλόνεφάμιλλόν σου καλοκαγαθίαν ἀδιαλείπτωςἀδιαλίπτως, μὴ φορτικὸς δὲ ὅμως γε νέσθαι τῇ σῇ τιμιότητι περὶ οἱουδήποτε πράγματος, ἀλλὰ τὸ γνωστὸν τῆς πρὸς ἀλ λήλους συνηθείας αὐτὸ τοῦτο καὶ οὐδὲν ἕτε ρον παρασκευάζει πολλοὺς εἰδότας τὸ σὸν εἰς ἡμᾶς ἐνδιάθετον προσφεύγειν μοι καὶ ποιῆσαι δεηθῆναί σου τῆς εὐγενείας, ἵνα μὴ ἀμελήσῃς περὶ Μακαρίου· ὅσου γὰρ παρέχεις, λήμψειλήμψι ἐκ πλήρους. γνῶθιγνῶθει δὲ, ὅτι ἐλυπήθην διότι ἀπεδήμησας ἀλόγως εἰ μὴ αὕτηει αυτη ἐστὶν ἡ συνταγή, ἀλλʼ ἐχάρην ἀκούσας διὰ τοῦ πραιποσίτου, ὅτι ἀνέρχῃἀπέρχῃ ταχυτέρου πρὸς ἡμᾶς. ἹέρακιἹεραξ οὖν τῷ καταφέροντί σοι ταῦτά μου τὰ γράμματα ἀξίωσον συνβοηθῆσαι αὐτῷ εἰς ὃ ἐὰν δυνατόν σοι τῇ τιμιότητι. προσαγορεύω τὴν σὴν διάθεσιν καὶ τὰ φίλτατάφιλλατα σου τὰ πάντα, τοῦτο γὰρ προτάττεσθαι εὔλογον δότα περὶ τῶν αὐτῶν ὑπαρχθῆναι. προσαγορεύει δὲ τῇ σῇ διαθέσει ὁ ἀγαπητὸς Παπνούθηςωραπνουθης. ϣⲓⲛⲉ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲡⲁⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲁⲩⲗⲉ ⲙⲛ ⲛⲁ ⲡⲉⲕⲏⲉⲓ ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ ϩⲙ ⲡϫⲟ ⲉⲓⲥ
