βασιλεῖ Πτολεμαίωι χαίρειν Σώπολις. ἀδικοῦμαι ὑπὸ Δημοῦς τινος, τῶν κατοικουσῶν ἐνἐγ Κροκοδίλων πόλει τοῦ Ἀρσινοίτου νομοῦ, ἣ καὶ μισθαρνεῖ. παραστησαμένη γάρ τινας ἐξ ἀπάτηςτης, ἀνέπεισεν τὸν υἱόν μου Σώπολιν, οὐδέπω ὄντα τῶν ἐτῶν, συγγράψασθαι αὐτῆι δανείου δραχμῶν Α. δέομαι οὖν σου, βασιλεῦ, εἴ σοι δοκεῖ, συντάξαι Διοφάνει τῶι στρατηγῶι ἀνακαλέσασθαι τήν τε Δημοῦν καὶ τὸν ἐπιγραφέντʼ αὐτῆς κύριον καὶ τὸν συγ γραφοφύλακα, καὶ ἐξετάσαι μισοπονήρως καί, ἐὰνἐὰμ μὴ φαίνηται χρῆσις τοῦ ἀργυρίου γεγενημένη κατὰ μηδένα τρόπον, ἡ δὲ συγγραφὴ ἐπʼ ἀδικίαι γεγραμμένη, ἡμῖνἡμῖμ μὲν ἐπαναγκάσαι αὐτὴν ἀποδοῦναι ἡμῖν τὴν συγγραφήν, περὶ δʼ αὐτῆς Διοφάνην τὸν στρατηγὸν διαγνῶναι. τούτου γὰρ γενομένου, βασιλεῦ, οὐκ ἀδικη θήσομαι, χρείας καὶ σοὶ καὶ τῶι σῶι πατρὶ ἀμέμπτως παρεσχημένος. εὐτύχει. συναπεστάλη Δημήτριος Νικαγόρου. ἔτους α, Γορπιαίου λ, Τῦβι ιγ. ἔτους α, Γορπιαίου λ, Τῦβι ιγ.
