βασιλεῖ Πτολεμαίωι χαίρειν Θεωνίδης, ἐξ Ἀμμωνιάδος. ἀδικοῦμαι ὑπὸ Σεύθου ἱππέως ἑκατονταρούρου, ὃς κατοικεῖ ἐν τῆι αὐτῆι κώμηι. ὀφείλων γάρ μοι διὰ χειρὸςχερὸς κριθῶν ἀρτάβας ιε ἅς μοι ἐτάξατο ἀποδώσειν ἀπὸ τῶν γενημάτων τοῦ κϛ ἔτους καὶ παρελη λυθότος τοῦ χρόνου, πλεονάκι ἀπῃτημένοςἀπηιτημένος ὑπʼ ἐμοῦ, οὐκ ἀποδίδωσίν μοι. δέομαι οὖν σου, βασιλεῦ, εἴ σοι δοκεῖ, προστάξαι Διοφάνει τῶι στρατηγῶι γράψαι Ἀγαθοκλεῖ τῶι ἐπιστάτηι ἀποστεῖλαι Σεύθην ἐπʼ αὐτὸν καί, ἐὰν ἦι ταῦτα ἀληθῆ, ἐπαναγ κάσαι αὐτὸν ἀποδοῦναί μοι, εἰ δέ τι ἀντιλέγει, μὴ ὀφείλειν ὀμόσας μοι, ἀπολελύσθω, ἵνα μὴ ἀδικηθῶ, ἀλλʼ ἐπὶ σὲ καταφυγών, βασιλεῦ, τὸν πάντων εὐεργέτην, τοῦ δικαίου τύχω. εὐτύχει.
