Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. ἔγραψας Δημήτριον αὐτοῖς ἐδεδώ κειν λλα ποίμνια ιν μηθὲν ἀλη θές οὐθέν ἐστιν θαυμα στὸν ἀλλʼ εἴ σε παρέπει σαν γράψαι μοι παρακελευό μενον εὐσυνθετεῖν ὡς Δη μητρίου ποιοῦντος αὐτοῖς τὰ δίκαια. ἐγὼ δὲ οὐχ ὅτι ὃν ἐώνηντο τόπον, ἀλλὰ καὶ ἄλλον Ἀμμωνίου με ἀξιώσαντος ἐδεδώκειν αὐτοῖς, παρʼ ἄλλων οὐχ ὑπο μείνας τιμὴν λαβεῖν. ἀλλʼ οὕτως ἀγνώμονές εἰσιν οὗτοι ὥστε καὶ τὴν γῆν ἣν μεμίσθωκα ἄλλοις κα τὰ συγγραφὴν παραδει κνύειν αὐτοῖς κελεύουσιν. ἡ δὲ τοιαύτη ἐστὶν διὰ πάντων τῶν πεδίων· ἐν ἑκάστωι γὰρ εἰσὶ περιχώματι ἄρουραι ἓξ ἑπτά , ἐνιότε δὲ δέκα · τὴν τοιαύτην οὐθενὶ ἐπικεχώρηκα. σοῦ δὲ γρά ψαντος ἔδωκα τὴν χέρσον ἣ ἐστὶν ἐν ἑνὶ πεδίωι ἀρουρῶν σ. διδά ξω δέ σε μᾶλλον καὶ κα τʼ αὐτὸ γινόμενος. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους ε, Θῶυθι ιδ. ἐὰν ὑπάρχωσιν κοντοὶ ἢ συβίναι εὐτελεῖς, ως ἀγόρασον ἡμῖν δύο πρὸς τὴν τῶν ἀγρίων βοῶν φυλακήν, δὸς δὲ αὐτοὺς Στράτωνι περωιν.
