Εὔδημος Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. αὐτὸς μὲν οὐ δύναμαι μου κινηθῆναι διὰ τὸ πρός τε τῶι θερισμῶι εἶναι καὶ τῆι συναγωγῆι τοῦ σίτου· ἅμα δὲ καὶ οἱ ἄγριοι βόες ἡμᾶς κεκωλύκασιν· Θεοδώραν δὲ ἀπέσταλκά σοι κομίζου σαν τὸν χιτῶνα τὸν λευ κόφαιον. σὺ δὲ καλῶς ποι ήσεις γράψας Φίλωνι ὅπως μετριάσηι τι ἡμῖν ἀπὸ τοῦ ἐκφορίου· εἰσὶνεἰσὶγ γὰρ ἡμῖν σκωληκοβρώτου καὶ κα κοῦ σίτου ἄρουραι ιε, ἔστιν δὲ ἡ κατεσπαρμένη ὑφʼ ἡ μῶν ἄρουραι ἐὰν οὖν ἡμῖν ἀφῆι ἐπὶ τῆι ἀρούραι ἀρτάβης 𐅵, ἐκείνωι τε τια ποιήσο μεν καὶ σοί· οὐ γὰρ μικρὸν ἀρτάβαι ιε ἀρουρῶν. καλῶς δὲ ποιήσεις καὶ τοὺς Ἄραβας εἰσπράξας τὸντὸμ φό ρον τῶν προβάτων. ἔτι γὰρ καὶ νῦν αὐτὰ ἔχουσιν τά τε πρόβατα καὶ τὰς κου ρὰς ὅ τε Ἑριεὺς καὶ Πόρτις. παρὰ δὲ Πτολεμαίου κεκό μισμαι ἀπὸ προβάτων λα δε πτα ἐπὶ σοῦ δείξειδέξει τί γεγόνασιν· ἐλέγ χεται γάρ α αὐτὸς ὑφείρημαι. ἔρρωσο. Ζήνωνι.
