Μῦς Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. περὶ Συμβώτου καὶ πρότερόν σοι ἐπέστειλα διότι πλεονάκις αὐτῶι καὶ γράφομεν καὶ ἐντυγχάνομεν ἀξιοῦντες κομίζεσθαι τὴν γῆν, καὶ νῦν δὲ καλῶς ἔχειν ὑπέλαβον ὑπομνῆσαί σε· διὰ τὸ γὰρ προκεχειρίσθαι αὐτῶι τὴν γῆν καταμετρηθῆναι, οὐ προσπορευόμεθα πρὸς τὰ γενήματα τὰ ἐκ ταύτης τῆς γῆς, ἀλλὰ συμβαίνει καταφθείρεσθαι. καὶ περὶ τούτων τῶι Συμβώτηι ἐμφανίζοντες διατελοῦμεν, ὁ δʼ οὐ προσέχει, ἀλλὰ ἀντιλέγει πρὸς τὸν βασιλικὸν γραμματέα, οἰόμενος δεῖν τῶι δικαίωι μεγάλωι σχοινίωι μετρηθῆναι αὐτῶι, οὗο ἐστὶν τὸ διάφορον παρὰ τὰς ἑκατὸν ἀρούρας ἄρουραι δέκα . ὡς ἂν οὖν σοι φαί νηται καὶ περὶ τούτων καλῶς ἂν ποιήσαις ἐπιστείλας ἡμῖν τὴν ταχίστην. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους κθ, Μεχεὶρ λ. ἔτους κθ, Δύστρου α, Φαμενὼθ α. Μῦς Συμβώτου. Ζήνωνι.
