I wish to lease from you the three and a half arourae in two parcels, of catoecic land which belong to you at the village of Karanis, in the place called Hypolthes, for three years, three sowings, from the present fifth year of Antoninus and Verus our Lords Augusti, for a yearly rent of twelve and a half artabai of wheat ... (And I will deliver the rent yearly in the month Pauni, at the village?) measured with the six-choinix measure of the Hermeneus of Karanis. And you will guarantee (sc. the lease) to me also free from public dues ...
