Κρονίαινα Κλαυδιανῷ τῷ πατρὶ πλεῖστα χαίρειν· πρὸ παντὸς εὔχομαί σε ὑγιαίνεινὑγιαίνιν μετὰ τῆς μη τρός μου. παροιμία ἐστὶ’στὶ ὑπὸ σοῦσε λεγομένη· τὸν ἀντίχειρα ἀντίκερα εαν ὅστις οὐκ ἐπίσταται, οὗτος παρ’ ἡμῶν δευτέρωςδευτέρος οὐ μὴ λαθῇ. ἐρωτῶ ὑ μᾶς νῦν μάλιστα ὡς γονεῖςγονῖς μου ἀναστρέψαι καὶ μηδὲ χαῖρε αὐτῷ εἰπέ· ἀνεμέσητον γάρ ἐστιν ἄγνοιαἔγνια ἐν τοιούτῳ καιρῷ · ἐγὼ ἐπείνασαἐπίνα σα ἵνα αὐτὸς χορτασθῇς καὶ ἔτι βλέπωνβλέβων ἐν τῇ κρεμάστρᾳ τοὺς ἐμοὺς ἄρτους οὕτως με ὕ βρισε καὶ ἐξελοιδόρησε · οὐκ ἔχω πῶς ὑμῖν γράψω. αἰσθανθήτω οὖν ἃ πεποίηκε· ὅσα μοι λελάληκε ὁ Βουτίτης περὶ τοῦ ἱματίου μελήσει μοι. ἄσπασαι τὴν μητέρα μου καὶ τὴν θυγατέρα μου καὶ τοὺς φιλοῦντας ἡμᾶς. ἔρρω σό μοι, πάτερπάτηρ. ἀσπάζεταί σε Ὀφελλᾶς καὶ ὁ Βουτίτης ἀσθενῶν · ασθε ἀσπάζεταιἀσπάσαι ὑμᾶς Πρόκλος καὶ Σαραπίων. ἐρρῶσθαι ὑμᾶς εὔχομαι.
