Λογγεῖνος τῇ μητρὶ πλεῖσταπλῖστα χαίρειν γιγνώσκεινγεινωσκιν σε θέλω ὅτιὅτει ἐπιστολὴν μου μήτηρ παλαιὰν ἐνκακήσαντος ὠνῶν σοι γράφω πέπομφαςπεπομφις ν ἐμοὶ ὥστε ἔτι μοι ἐρίζειςἐρίζις φω ἢ ἐγὼ γράφων ἢ σὺ μῆτερ φροντίζουσα αν με μνημονευ περμα ἔπεμψας μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ πολλάκις α σοι ὅτιὅτει τὰ ὠδητα παραμεν μου πον ἐξηρτισμένον μοι οιις τότε ἔπεμψα λινς εἰσπράξῃς ὡς ν καὶ Διωγενίδα κατενένκασα πέμψον καὶ Διωγένην ἐπιχ δερες μοι γὰρ τότε τα πέμψω καὶ ἐρχόμενος ἐπιστολίδιν δοῦναιδῶναι οὐ μόνον ἀλ λὰ καὶ ἄλλοι τοσοῦτοι στρατιῶται φασι οὐδὲν ωσλεαι του ειακαν ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἀνελθεῖνἀνελθῖν ο ἐμοὶ ἐλ γὰρ θέλουσιν μὴ ἀντιδικ ὅλως προσφιλής σου γενόμενος παγανὸς παλαιὰν περιφ ανωην. ἀσπάζομαι τοὺς ἀδελφούς μου καὶ τοὺς ἑτέρους καὶ ωναε ἐρρῶσθαί σεσαι εὔχομαι
