μετὰ τὴν ὑπατείαν τῶν δεσποτῶν ἡμῶν Κωνσταντίνου Σεβαστοῦ τὸ η ἔτος καὶ Κωνσταντίνου τοῦ ἐπιφανεστάτου Καίσαρος τὸ δ ἔτος Τῦβι ιζ. Φλαουίῳ Ἰουλιανῷ λογιστῇ Ὀξυρυγχείτου παρὰ Αὐρηλίου Διογένους Ἀμμωνίου ἀπὸ τῆς αὐτῆς πόλεως. περισσὸν ἂν εἴη ὑπομνῆσαι τὴν σὴν ἐντρέχειαν τὰ διηγορευ μένα ὑπὸ τῆς τῶν νόμων ἐξουσίας, ὡς σαφῶς κελεύει ἐκκλήτου ἀπενεχθείσης μηδὲν νεωτερίζεσθαι. ἐπεὶἐπὶ τοίνυν κατὰ τὴν ἐνεστῶσαν ἡμέραν περιηχήθην ἐπίσταλμα προσενηνέχθαι σου τῇ τάξει ὑπὸ τοῦ ἐνάρχου πρυτάνεως διʼ οὗ τὸ ἡμέτερον ὄνομα ὑπεβλήθη εἰς τοὺς ἐνάρχειν μέλλοντας, προσκιμένης καὶ ἀρχῆς ἐξηγητικῆς προσονομασθείσηςπροσωνομασθεισης μοι, φθάνωφθάννω δὲ πάραυτα καὶ πρὸς αὐτοὺς τοὺς ὑποβαλόντας με εἰς ἐξηγητείανἐξηγητίαν ἐκκαλούμενος, πολλῶν μάλιστα δικαίων ὑπαρχόντων μοι ἐν τούτῳ, ὑπὲρ τοῦ μὴ πρὸ κρίσεως κατα βλάπτεσθαι ταῦτα μηδέ τινα ἐπαιωρεῖσθαιἐπεωρῖσθαι τῷ ἐπιστάλματι ἀξιῶ ἅπαξ τῆς περὶ πάντων κρίσεως ἠρτημένης τῷ κυρίῳ μου τῷ διασημοτάτῳ ἐπάρχῳ τῆς Αἰγύπτου Φλαουίῳ Μαγνιλιανῷ εαι τὸν πρύτανινπρύτανειν ἵνʼ εἰδείηεἰδίη πρὸς τὸ μηδὲν περιγραφῆς τῆς δικαιολογίας μου πραχθῆναι.
