Ἀπολλώνιος Ἀρτεμᾷ τῷ ἀδελφῷ χαίρειν. πρὸ μὲν παντὸς εὔχομαιεὔχομε πᾶσι τοῖς θεοῖς τὰ ἐν βίῳ σοι κάλλιστα ὑπαρχθῆναι· καὶ νῦν τῷ ἀδελ φῷ σου ἔδωκα δραχμὰς φ καὶ τῷ Πτολεμαίῳ ἤδη μετεβαλόμην ἀπὸ μέρους, καθὼς ἠθέ λησεν. θαυμάζω δὲ ὅτι εἰς μὲν ἔλαιον τὸ τοσοῦτο ἀργύριον ἐχώρησαι. ἓξ δὶς ἔβα λεςἔβαλας· ἐνθάδε γὰρ τὸ Ἀμμωνιακὸν δραχμῶν σκ, τὸ δὲ Αὐαστικὸν δραχμῶν σ· ὅθεν εἰἠ εἰς ἄλλην χρείανχρίαν λαμβάνειςλαμμβάνις δυναμένην ἡμᾶς ὠφελῆσαι, καλῶς ποιεῖς. ἔγραψας δέ μοι ὡς ἐμοῦ σε κατακόπτοντος ἄποντα, καὶ τοῦτο δὲ χείρω τῶν πρώτων. εἰ γὰρ ἀπαρτὶ ἐπίστασαί μου τὴν γνώμην, οὐκ ὀφείλειςὀφίλις ἄνθρωπος κρίνεσθαι. καὶ ἄλλο τέ σοι ἔγραψα ὅτι οὔτʼ ἐγὼ τὸν κάμηλον Ἑρμία κατέσχον οὔτε ἄλλου τινός. εἰ δὲ ταῦτα θέλειςθέλις με γράφεινγράφιν, γράφω σοι. τάχα γὰρ οὐκ ἀναγιγνώσκειςἀναγινώσκις ἅ σοι γράφω. ὅσα δὲ ἔπαθονἔπαθαν ἐνθάδε χάριν τῶν καμήλων τῆς Κόπτου ὅ τε Ἀμμωνᾶς καὶ ὁ αὐτομα τάρις Ἀνθρωπᾶς καὶ οἱ ἄλλοι πάντες δύ νασαι ἀκοῦσαι ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου. οἱ δὲ γαμβροίγαμροί ταῦροιταμροι σου οἱ κατάρατοι στρηνιῶσι καὶ πολλὰ ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν προῆλθονπροῆλθα χάριν σοῦ. ἐὰν βουλὴν ἔχω, ἐρῶ σοι.σοι, ἵνα μὴ δοκῶ πολλὰ γράφεινγράφιν, ἐρρῶσθαί σε εὔχομαιχομαι. τὸν τυφλὸνΤύφλον ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἠνάγκασέἀνήκασαί μεμαι πωλῆσαι· Ἀρτεμᾷ παρὰ Ἀπολλωνίου.
