[Eirênaios] grüßt seinen geliebtesten Bruder [Apolinaris] herzlich. Ich wünsche, daß es dir stets gut gehen möge. Mir selbst geht es gut. Wisse, daß ich am 9. Epeiph ans Land kam und am 18. desselben Monats das Schiff auslud. Am 25. desselben Monats ging ich nach Rom hinauf und der Ort nahm uns auf, wie es Gottes Wille war. Aber Tag um Tag müssen wir auf das Entlassungsschreiben, so daß bis heute noch kein einziger von der Getreideleute aufgebrochen ist. Vielmals grüße ich deine Lebensgefährtin und den Serênus, und alle, die dich lieben, einzeln. Lebe wohl. 9. Mesore. Verso An Apolinaris von Eirênaios, seinem Bruder.
