βασιλεῖβασιλῖ Πτολεμαίωι χαίρειν Μένανδρος τῆς ἐπιγονῆς. ἀδικοῦ μαι ὑπὸ Διονυσοδώρου τῶν κληρούχων. αἰτησαμένου γάρ μου τόπον ἔρημον Πετοσῖριν τὸν σταθμοδότην κατωικοδόμησα ἐμαυτῶι οἰκίανὀκίαν. προσελθόντος δέ μοι καὶ ἀξιώσαντος Διονυσοδώρου ἀντὶ ἐνοικίου δραχμὰς β εἰς ἐνιαυτόν, ἄχρι ἤμην ἐν ἀγρῶι παρὰ ἈμβιλάωιἈββιλαουν ων αὐτῶι τὸν κλῆρον, κατωικοδόμει μοι τὴν οἰκίαν κύκλωι καταγνούςκταγνούς μου τὴν ἐρημίαν τύπτων ἐγβάλλει καὶ ἀπὸ ταύτης. ἐπεὶἐπὶ δʼ ἐπέσχον, οὐκὀκ ἔ χων τὸν παραστησόμενόνπαραστησάμενόν μοι, ἄλλην οἰκίαν ὠικοδόμησα ἐμαυτῶι, αὐτὸς ἐγβάλλει με τύπτων καὶ ἀπὸ ταύτης φάμενος παρὰ Ζήνωνος ἔχειν τὸν τόπον ἅπανταἁπαν, ἐν τῆι κρίσεικρίσι εἰσόμενος πρός με ἐπὶ Νέστου. δέομαι οὖν σου, εἰ καί σοι δοκεῖ, διακοῦσαί μου ἵνα μὴ καταδυναστευθῶκαταδυνασστευθῶ ὑπὸπὸ Διο νυσοδώρου. εὐτύχει.
