Αὐρήλιοι Σερῆνος ἀγορανομ καὶ Ἥρων ἀρχιερ βουλευταὶ τῆς Ἀρσινοιτῶν πόλεως δεκάπρωτοι Ἀρείῳ ὑπηρέτῃ τῆς τοπαρχίας. παραλαβὼν Ἥρωνα ὁριοδείκτην κώμης Καρανίδος ειμα Ὡρίωνι μητρὸς Ἀμῖτος παρʼ ὧν κοιτῶν κατελήμφθη ἐν τῇ τοῦ ἀποτάκτου καταπατήσει γεωργῶν δημοσί αν γῆν εἰσὶν ιγ κοίτης ἄρουραι η, ιϛ κοίτης ἄρουραι β ἔχουσαν πλέον τῆς ἰσαρίθμουεἰσαρίθμου ἀβρόχου γῆς ὥστε καὶ αὐτὸν ἔχεινἔχιν κατὰ τὰ ὁρισθέντα τὰς ἴσας τῆς ἐπι νεμήσεως. σεσημείωμαι.Translations (1)
Aurelius Serenus, Agoranomos (oder Ex-Agoranomos), und Aurelius Heron, Archiereus (oder Ex-Archiereus), Ratsherren von Arsinoe und Dekaproten, an Areios, den Bediensteten der Toparchie. Zusammen mit Heron, dem Grundkatasterbeamten (ὁριοδείκτης) des Dorfes Karanis, [bestimme] in der Angelegenheit des Horion, des Sohnes der Amis, [den Schätzwert (?)] in Hinblick auf die Landlose, bei denen er anläßlich der Inspektion des zur Bewirtschaftung auferlegten Landes (τοῦ ἀποτάκτου) bei der (heimlichen) Bestellung von Staatsland (δημοσία γῆ) ertappt wurde; es handelt sich um 8 Aruren des 13. Landloses und 2 Aruren des 16. Landloses. Dieses Land macht einen Überschuß aus gegenüber dem nicht überfluteten Land, welches gleich groß sein soll, so daß auch er gemäß den Bestimmungen (zusätzlich) ebenso viele Aruren zwangsweise zu verpachtendes Land haben soll.
