Γεώργιον τὸν σύμμαχον, ὡς καὶ διʼ ἑτέρας ἐπιστολῆς ἐδήλωσα, πέμψον προσεδρεύσαντα τῷ κυρίῳ Θεοπέμπτῳ, ὥστε διʼ αὐτοῦ πεμφθῆναι τὴν ταχεῖανταχῖαν καὶ ἀνανκαίαν ἀπόκρισιν, ἣν τῷ καρίῳ ὑπὲρ ἐμοῦ πεμφθέντι· ἀλλὰ μὴν καὶ ἄλλον τῶν προσεδρευσάντων τῇ σῇ ποθεινότητι παρακομιητρτονοτν ἐκεῖ φυλαττόμενον ἀλλὰ μὴν καὶ ἄλλοις τρισὶ κωμάρχαις σοῖς ἵνα φυλαττόμενος ἐπιμελῶς ἔλθῃ· ὑπεσχόμην γὰρ αὐτὸν ἀναγαγεῖν καὶ ἀπολῦσαι. καὶ ἴσως μὲν κδετος τοῦτο ἀκούων οὐ δραπετεύσει· πλὴν κάλλιον τῆς ἀσφαλείας γενέσθαι. καὶ διὰ τοῦτο βούλομαι ἢ μετὰ πλήθους αὐτὸν ἀνελθεῖν ἤγουν ξύλον ἔχοντα ἐν τοῖς ποσίν, ὥστε μὴ δυνηθῆναι ἐκ τοῦ πλοίου λαθεῖν καὶ διαφυγεῖν. πάνυ γάρ με ἔβλαψεν καὶ ἐζημίωσεν καὶ ἀπώλεσεν ἡ τοῦ προτέρου φυγή. ἀλλʼ οὕτω σε ὁ θεὸς ἐλεήσῃ ἐπιμελῶς πάνυ παράπεμψον αὐτόν, ἵνα μὴ δυνηθῇ φυγεῖν. θεδο μου κυρίῳ Θεοτέκνῳ Διόσκορος.
