γραμματεῖ μαχίμων παρὰ Πανούφιος τοῦ Νεχθεμβεύους. κατειργασμένων ἡμῶν εἰς τὸν Νεχθεμβεύους πεντακοσιαρχικὸν κλῆρον τῶν ἐν Συρίαι εἴς τε τὰ θερινὰ ἔργα καὶ εἰς ποτισμόν, ὁμοίως δὲ καὶ τοῦ ὕδατος ἀναχωρήσαντος κατεσπειρόμην ἀεὶ τὴν ἀνασκαπτομένην γῆν καὶ ὑλοτό μους θειεσ φασι τοῦ Νεχθεμβέους δτηι ἕως τοῦ τὴν καὶ συνγενέσθαι φ συγγρα τῶν κλήρων τῆι δὲ η τοῦ ἐνεστῶ τος μηνὸς παρὰ Αὐτομέδοντος ς σπείρειν τὸν κλῆρον vestiges δικαίου οὐδενὸς ἀντεχόμενοι. ἐὰν οὖν σοι φαίνηται, καλῶς ποιήσεις τὴν περὶ τού των ἐπίσκεψιν καὶ οἰκονομίαν ποιού μενος, ὅπως μὴ ἐκφύγῃ ἡ γῆ, ἀλλὰ κατασπαρέντα τὸν κλῆρον τὰ ἐκφόρια διατηρεῖσθαι ἕως τοῦ τὸν Νεχθαμ βῆν παραγενέσθαι ἢ γραφῆναί τι. τούτου γὰρ γενομένου ὅ τε Νεχθαμβῆς ἔσται εὐγνωμονημένος καὶ ἡμεῖς τε κεκομισμένοι φνησ ἔρρωσο. ἔτους δ Θωύθ
