τῷ δεσπότῃ μου ὡς ἀληθῶς τιμιωτάτῳ πατρί μου μων διάκων πατρικίῳ μων διακ ἐδεξάμην τὰ περὶ τῆς σῆς ὑγιείας καὶ ἀναγνοὺς πάνυ χαρᾶς ἐπλήσθην. περὶ δὲ τοῦ πράγματος οὗ μοι ἀντέγραψας, ὡς οἶδεν ὁ θεός, κατὰ τὴν παροῦσαν ἡμέραν ἐπελήλυθα εἰς τὴν κώμην· οὔπω τέως σκέψις ἐγένετο παρʼ ἡ μῶν περὶ τούτου, διότι οὔπω συν έτυχον τοῖς ἐμοὶ διαφέρουσιν, ἀλλὰ θεοῦ ἐπιτρέποντος μετὰ τὴν κατασπορὰν τοῦ σίτουπυροῦ ἐπι καταλαμβάνω τὴν πόλινπόλειν καὶ οὕτως μεθʼ ὑμῶν τρακτεύο μεν τὸ ὀφειλόμενονὀφιλόμενον γενέσθαι· οἶδας γάρ, ὅτι τὰ νῦν ἀσχο λοῦμεν ἕνεκεν τοῦ ἐπι κειμένου ἡμῖν ἀβροχικοῦ ἐφέ τοςἀερικοῦἀεροικικοῦ ἐπʼἐφʼ ἔτος πρόσειπε παρʼ ἐμοῦ τὸν εὔφρονά σου οἶκον. περὶ δὲ τῶν δύο κολοβίων ὧνν δέδωκά σοι πρὸς διάπρασιν, ἐὰν δύνῃ, πᾶν ποίησον, πώλησον· ἐὰν δὲ μὴ χωρηθῶσιν, ἀπόσ τειλον αὐτὰ εἰς τὴν κώμην καὶ πρόσθες καὶ τὸ στιχάριον, τὸ δὲ ερος ἐρρῶσθαί σε βούλομαι προσαγορεύω πάντας ἀδελφούς. τῷ δεσπότῃ seal πάντα θαυμασιωτάτῳ πατρικίῳ.
