Φιλοκράτης Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. τοῖς θεοῖς πολλὴ χάρις, εἰ αὐτός τε ἔρρωσαι καὶ τὰ λοιπά σοι κατὰ νοῦν ἐστιν. ἀπέσταλκα σοι τὸν ἐλαιοκάπηλον Παῖιν περὶ τοῦ ου, οὗ καὶ Ἑρμόλαός σοι ἐμνήσθη. καλῶς ἂν οὖν ποιήσαις συντάξας ἀποδοῦναι αὐτῶι. παρεγενήθην δʼ ἂν καὶ αὐτὸς πρὸς σέ, ἀλλὰ ἄσχολός εἰμι. γράφε δʼ ἡμῖνἡμεῖν ἀεὶ ὧν ἂν χρείανχρέαν ἔχῃςἔχεις καὶ μὴ ἐπιλαν θάνου ἡμῶν. εὐτύχει. Φιλοκράτει. Πᾶτις οὐ παρεγένετο, ἀλλʼ εἰς Κροκοδίλων πόλινπολ εἰσπεπορεῦσθαι. φάσκουσιν Ζήνωνι.
