τῷ δεσπότῃ μου Ἀβιννέῳ Κλημάτιος. πάντας τοὺς φίλους ἀεὶ εὐχόμεθα ἐν μείζοσινμίζοσιν προκόπτοντας πράττειν, ἵνα καὶ ἡμεῖςἡμῖς τῆς πράξεως ἐκείνων ἀπολαύειν δοκῶμεν. ἓν οὖν καὶ τοῦτό μοί ἐστιν διὰ γραμμάτων παρακαλέσαι τὴν σὴν χρηστότητα, κύριε, ἀπαράβλητε, καὶ ἵνα μὴ νομίσῃς διά τι κέρδος τοῦτό με ποιεῖν, γνωρίζω τῇ εὐγενείᾳεὐγενίᾳ σου τὸ πρᾶγμα. Ἰσίων τις πρόμωτος ἐκ τῶν ὑπὸ τὴν σὴν φροντίδα διαφέρειδιαφέρι μοι, διαφέρειδιαφέρι δὲ καὶ τῷ κυρίῳ μου καὶ ἀδελφῷ Παύλῳ τῷ κορνικουλαρίῳ τῆς παρεμβολῆς. πενθερὸς γὰρ τυγχάνειτυγχάνι Τιμοθέου οὐετρανοῦ τοῦ ἐν Παρτοντι κεκτημένου, ὄντος ὁμογνησίου ἀδελφοῦ τοῦ προειρημένου Παύλου. ἐπεὶ οὖν οὐδεμία διαφορά ἐστιν μεταξὺ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐκείνωνκακείνων διὰ τοῦτο παρακαλέσαι σε ἔσπευσα ὅπως συνχωρήσῃς τούτῳ τοῖς πράγμασιν ἡμῶν προσέχειν, δυναμένου σοῦ ὅπου τις ἀνάγκη κατεπείγεικατεπίγει τοῦτον μετακαλέσασθαι καὶ πάλιν εὐθέως ποιῆσαι ὡς προεῖπον, τοῖς πράγμασιν ἡμῶν προσέχειν. ἵνα δὲ γνῶμεν ὅτι τῇ ἀξιώσει ἡμῶν ἐπένευσας καταξίωσον δεξάμενός μου τὰ γράμματα, κύριέ μου, ἀντιγράψαι μοι περὶ τούτου. ἐρρῶσθαί σε εὔχομαι πολλοῖς χρόνοις, κύριε. τῷ δεσπότῃ μου Ἀβιννέῳ Κλημάτιος.
