Φλαουίῳ Ἀπολλωνίῳ στρατηγῷ Ἀρσινοΐτου Ἡρακλείδου μερίδος παρὰ Σοήρεως Πακύσεως ἀπὸ κώμης Σοκνοπαίου Νήσου. ὁ ἀδελφός μου Ὀν νῶφρις ἐτελεύτησεν ἄτεκνος ἐπὶ κληρονόμῳ ἐμοί, καταλείψας μοι καμήλους τρεῖς οἵτινες λρρ ἐμοὶ ἦσαν. Σαταβοὺς δεπαρπεινος. ἀλόγωςἀλώγως ἐπῆλ θέ μοι καὶ βιαίως ἀπέσπασεν τοὺς κα μήλους, περὶ οὗ καὶ τότε σοι ἐνέτυχον διὰ Μέλανος δούλου μου, αὐτὴ ἐν ἀσθενίᾳ τυγχάνουσα, καὶ ἐπέταξας, ἕνα τῶν περί σε ὑπηρετῶν ἐπαναγκάσαι αὐτὸν ἀποκαταστῆσαί μοι τοὺς καμήλους, ὃς μα θὼν αὐτὸ τότε ἀφανὴς ἐγένετο. ἐπεὶἐπὶ οὖν μέχρι τούτου οὐκ ἀποκατέστησέν μοι αὐτούς, τυγχάνω δὲ τῇ ἔναγχος τῶν θρεμ μάτων ἀπογραφῇ ἀπογραψαμένη, ἀξιῶ νῦν χλω ροφαγούντων αὐτῶν ὑπὸ τὸν Σαταβοὺν μ ιδες οὐκ ἔχουσαυκ σαTranslations (1)
An F[l]avius Apollônios, den Strategen des Hêrakleidês-Bezirks des Arsinoïtês, von Soêris, Tochter des Pakysis, aus dem Dorf Soknopaiû Nêsos. Mein Bruder Onnôphris ist kinderlos verstorben und hat mir drei Kamele hinterlassen, die mir gehören. Satabûs hat mich grundlos überfallen und die Kamele gewaltsam entwendet, weshalb ich Dich damals durch meinen Sklaven Mel[a]s an Dich gewandt habe, weil ich selbst gerade krank war. Und Du hast einem Deiner Helfer befohlen, ihn zu zwingen, mir die Kamele auszuhändigen, worauf hin er sich, als er das dessen gewahr wurde, aus dem Staub gemacht hat. Nachdem er sie mir bis heute nicht ausgehändigt hat, und ich gerade bei der jetzigen Viehmeldung meine Meldung mache, bitte ich, weil sie von Satabûs geweidet werden, darum, daß ich nicht habe
