θέλω δέ σε καὶ τὸν Καίσαρος ἀναγνοῦναι, δεῖ γάρ σε εἰ καὶ πρὸς ἄλλους εἶχον πρᾶγμα βοηθὸν αὐτοῦ γενέσθαι διὰ ἣνη ἔχομεν πρὸς ἑαυτοὺςἑατοὺς φιλίαν. καὶ γὰρ ἐγὼ ὅλωςὅλος διαπονοῦμαι εἰ Ἕλε νος χαλκοὺς ἀπώλεσενἀπόλεσεν, παραγενομένου γὰρ Δαμᾶτος εἰς Ἀλεξάνδρειαν ἤλ θαμεν ἐπὶ Ἐπαφρόδειτον καὶ εὑρέ θη μήτε εἰληφὼς μήτε δεδωκώς. ὥστʼ ἂν τοῦτό σε θέλω γινώσκεινγεινώσκειν ὅτι ἐγὼ αὐτῷ διαστολὰς δεδώκειν τὸ βαδίσαι εἰς Τακόνα χάριν τῶν ἐκ φορίων καὶ τὰ νῦν ἐπιπέπομφαἐπειπέπομφα αὐτὸν πάντα συνλέξαι καὶ περὶ πάν των αὐτῷ τὴν ἐπιτροπὴν δέδωκα. ἐν οἷς ἐὰν σοῦ προσδεῆται συνπροσ γενέσθαι αὐτῶι ὡς ἀνθομολογησομένῳ ὑπέρ σου οὕτως ὡς ὑπέρ μου. ἐν τῷ δέ με περισπᾶσθαι οὐκ ἠδυνάσθην συντυχεῖν Ἀπολλωνίῳ τῷ Λιβικῷ ἵνα αὐτῷ αὐτὰ ταῦτα ὑποδείξωὑποδίξω. καὶ σὺ δὲ ὑπὲρ ὧν ἐὰν θέλῃς γράφε μοι καὶ ἀνό κνως ποιήσωποήσω, Δαμᾶς γάρ μοι ἀνθωμολογήσατο πάντα. καλῶς δὲ γέγονεν τὸ ταχὺ αὐτὸν ἐλθεῖν, ὑφηγήσεται γάρ σοι. σεαυτοῦσεατο͂ ἐπιμέλου ἵνʼ ὑγιαίνῃς. ἐπισκοποῦ τοὺς σοὺς πάνταςπαντε. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους κθ Καίσαρος Φαῶφι ϛ.
