Σεουήρῳ Ἰούστῳ ἑκατοντάρχῃχιλιάρχῃ παρὰ Αὐρηλίου Ἀβοῦτος οὐετρανοῦ. ἡνίκα ἐστρα τευόμην, κύριε, ἐν Πηλου σίῳ, παρεθέμην Πετεσού χῳ τινὶ συνστρατιώτῃ μου καὶ φίλῳ σκεύη ἐν συντιμήσει δραχμῶν ὀκτακοσίων. μετατεθέν τος μου εἰς ἄληνἀλα Βουκοντί ων καὶ ὡς ἐλογοποιού μην πρὸς αὐτὸν περὶ τού των μετὰ τὴν ἀμφοτέρων ἀπόλυσιν, λόγον μου οὐ πεποίηται. διὸ ἀξιῶ ἔχοντός μου μεσίτηνμεσείτην Συρίωνα Ἰσιδώρου ἀπὸ κοωμολο γTranslations (2)
An Severus Iustus, den centurio , von Aurelius Abûs, dem Veteranen. Als ich Militärdienst leistete, Herr, in Pêlûsion, gab ich einem gewissen Petesûchos, meinem Kameraden und Freund, Gegenstände im Wert von achthundert Drachmen zur Aufbewahrung. Ich wurde in die ala Vocontiorum versetzt, und als ich mit ihm wegen dieser Dinge eine Abrechnung machen wollte nach unser beider Entlassung, machte er mir keine Abrechnung. Hiermit ersuche ich, wobei ich als Zeugen Syriôn, Sohn des Is[i]dôros, aus K[aran]is habe , der (mir) zustimmte, darum, [daß sie Dir vorgeführt werden – – –]
