ἀπεστείλαμεν τῷ ἡμῶν δεσπότῃ λόγον ἕνα ἐπειδὴ ἠκούσαμεν ὅτι ἔπεμψεν ὁ πατρίκιος καὶ ἔφερεν Ποῦσιν τὸν υἱὸν παρὰ απενηρου ἔθοςἔθως ἔχων λαβεῖν τὸν μισθὸν αὐτοῦ ἐκεῖ· καὶ ἀκούσαντες τὸν λόγον οὐκ ἀνεχόμεθαἀνεχώμεθα, οὕτως τὰ σώματα ἡμῶν βάλλοντες εἰς θάνατον, θέλοντες ἵνα προσίωσινπροσίουσιν αἱἑ ἀποκρίσειςἀποκρίσις τῆς σῆς ἐξουσίας. καὶ οἶδεν ὡ ἡμῶν δεσπότης ὅτι μικρὸν ἐὰν ποιῇ ἓν καὶ εἰς ἄλλοἀλλω χειροῖ Ποῦσιν. καὶ ἐὰν ἄλλος τίς ποτε κελεύῃκελευεις πρᾶγμα εἰ μὴ ἡ ἐξουσία ὑμῶνἡμῶν οὐ δυνάμεθαδυνωμεθα ἀνασχέσθαιἀνεξασθε ἵνα ποτʼ ἄλλοςἀλλοι κελεύῃκελεύει πρᾶγμα ἡμῶν· καὶ ποίησον γράψαιγράψε ἡμῖν τὴν ἀπόκρισινἀποσιν. ἤθελεν γὰρ Κυριακὸς ἐλθεῖν καὶ οὐκ ἔλαβε αὐτὸν· καὶ ἐὰν ἔλθῃ, καὶ ἐγὼκἀγὼ ἔρχομαιἔρχομε· εἰἰ μὴ γὰρ ἀφορμὰς ἤθελεν ὁ πατρίκιος, ποία ἐστιν ἡ δύναμις ς. ἕνεκεν τοῦ νηροῦ, ὅπουὥπου θέλειθέλι δοθῆναι τὸν νηρὸν αλλντος, τὰ γράμματα καταλάβωσινκαταλάβουσιν ἡμᾶς ἐπειδὴ πάνυπάνοι ὀλιγωροῦμενὀλιγοροῦμεν εἰς τοῦτοτουτω, δέσποτα. δεσπότῃ ἡμῶν
