περὶ τεχνίτου α λουφοίων τω ἐν ὀνόματι τοῦ Θεοῦ Κορρα υἱὸς Σζεριχ σύμβουλος Βασιλείῳ διοικητῇ κώμης Ἀφροδιτώ. ἕνα τέκτονα ἐτάξαμεν διὰ τῆς διοικήσεώς σου ἐπὶ μῆνας τέσσαρας λόγῳ ἐργασίας λουφοίων μετακομιζόντων εἰς τὸ Κλύσμα ἐπὶ τῆς παρούσης ἰνδικτίονος ὀγδόης θεματίσαντες τοὺς μισθοὺς καὶ τὴν δαπάνην αὐτοῦ ἐκ τοῦ μηνὸς νομίσματος δίμοιρον χωρὶς διδόμενον ἀπὸ τῆς σακέλλης καὶ τὸ τούτου ἐντάγιον ποιήσαντες ἐπέμψαμέν σοι. τοῦτον οὖν μετὰ τῶν ἐργαλείων αὐτοῦ πρὸς τὴν δύναμιν τοῦ ἐνταγίου πέμψον εὐθέως καὶ παράδος Μααμεδ υἱῷ Αβι Αβιβα τῷ ἐπικειμένῳ τῆς ἐργασίας. ἐγράφη μηνὸς Θὼθ ϛ ἰνδικτίονος η Κορρα υἱὸς Σζεριχ σύμβουλος Βασιλείῳ διοικητῇ κώμης Ἀφροδιτώ μηνὸς Θὼθ ἰνδικτίονος η ἠνέχθηἠνήχθη διʼ Αβου Αμερ βερεδαρίουTranslations (1)
Concerning 1 skilled workman for the barges … In the name of God. Ḳurrah b. Sharīk, Governor, to Basil, administrator of the village of Aphrodito. We have apportioned to your administrative district 1 carpenter for 4 months for work at the barges which convey … to Clysma in the present 8th indiction, having fixed his wages and supplies at 2/3 solidus per month excluding …, to be paid from the Treasury, and having made out the demand note for him we have sent it to you. Send him, therefore, with his tools in accordance with the powers given by the demand note [immediately (?)], and hand him over to Muḥammad b. Abī Ḥabībah, who is in charge of the work. Written the 6th Thoth, 8th indiction.
