ἐπειδὴ οἱ γραμματηφόροι προσῆλθαν χάριν τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ θέλησον δεχόμενος τὴν ἐπιστολὴν τοῦτον ἀπολῦσαι καὶ μὴ κρατήσῃς αὐτὸν μίαν ἡμέραν καὶ μόνον ε τοῦτον ἀπόλυσον. εἰς τὸν γὰρ κύριονκύριν Ἰωάννην τὸν δοῦκα ἦλθεν τὸ πρᾶγμα μὴ οὖν κρατήσῃς αὐτὸν ἀλλὰ ἀπόλυσον τὸν ἔχεις ἐκεῖ καὶ μὴ ζητήσῃς κράτησον αὐτόν. ἐπίδος ΘωλλῳΘωλλο σ παρὰ ΘεωδώρουTranslations (1)
Since the scribes have come on account of his son and you wish to release him upon receiving the letter, do not detain him for even one day. Indeed, release him. The matter came to the lord Kyrios Ioannes the duke, therefore do not detain him but release the one you have there, and do not seek to hold him. Delivered to Thollo by the hand of Theodoros.
