Πλάτων Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. Δημητρίου τοῦ ἀποδιδόντος σοι τὴν ἐπιστολήν, ὡς ἔοικεν, ὁ πατὴρ τυγχάνει τὰς διατριβὰς ποιούμενος ἐν τῶι Ἀρσινοίτηι νομῶι. βούλεται οὖν καὶ αὐτὸς ὁ νεανίσκος ἐκεῖ πράττειν τι. πυνθανόμενος δέ σε εἶναι ἐπιεικῆ, ἠξίωσάν τινές με τῶν φίλων γράψαι σοι περὶ αὐτοῦ, ἵνα κατατάξῃς που αὐτὸν παρὰπαρα σοί. καλῶς οὖν ποι ήσεις εὐχαριστήσας ἡμῖν καὶ φροντίσας ἵνα πράττηι τι, ὃ ἂν σὺ δοκιμάζηις ἐπιτήδειον εἶναι, καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἐπιμελόμενος αὐτοῦ, ἐάμπερ σοι ἦι χρήσιμος. σημεῖον δὲ ὅτι σοι ἀπέστειλα παρὰ Σώσου ἐρεβίνθου κριοῦ ἀρτάβας β ἠγορασμένας ἀνὰ δραχμὰς ε. πειράσομαι δὲ καὶ ἐκἐγ Ναυκράτεως, ἐὰν ἦι, προσαγοράσαι σοι εἰς ἀρτάβας κ καὶ αὐτός σοι ἀναγαγεῖν. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους λα, μηνὸς Δίου ιβ.
