Νίκων Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. εἰ ἔρρωσαι καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ κατὰ νοῦν πράσσεις, εἴη ἄν πολλὴ χάρις τοῖς θεοῖς· καὶ ἐγὼἐωγὼ δὲ ὑγίαινον. καλῶς ἂν ποιήσαις γράψας Νικάνορι περὶ τοῦ ἐλαίου οὗ δεδώκαμεν εἰς τὰ σώματα, ὅπως ἂν ἡμῖν ἀποδῶι· εἰσὶν δὲ χοεῖςχοῖεις πέντε, καὶ περὶ ὧν σοι πρότερον ἔγραψα, καλῶς ἂν ποι ήσαις, ἐάν σοι φαίνηται, ἀποστείλας ἡμῖν, οὐ γὰρ οἶμαί σε ἀγνοιεῖν ὅτι, ἐὰν μή τι παρὰ σοῦ λάβωμεν, λιμῶι παραπολοῦμαι, ἕως ἂν εἰδῶ ποῦ γῆς εἰμι, ἐπειδὴ διʼ Ἀπολλώνιον οὐ δυνάμεθʼ ἀνα κύψαι, ἀλλὰ συμβαίνει διὰ παντὸς ἡμᾶς περιφόβους εἶναι ὥσπερ τοὺς τὰ μέγιστα ἠδικηκότας. ἠξίου δὲ καὶ Μενέμαχος ἡμᾶς πρὸς Ἀπολλώνιον καταπλεῦσαι, δοκιμάζων ὀφθῆναι αὐτῶι, καὶ ὅτι διαλέξεται περὶ ἡμῶν ὅπως ἂν πράσσωμέν τι, καὶ ὅτι μάλιστα ἡμῖν ποιήσει, ἔφη, ἐὰν αὐτῶι μνησθῶμεν περὶ τοῦ ἐνἐμ Φιλαδελφείαι ἔργου. εἰ οὖν δοκιμάζεις καταπλεῦσαί με ὅπως ἂν ἐντύχωμεν, γράψον μοι. καὶ ἐάν σοι φαίνηται δοῦναι ἡμῖν σιτάριον ὅπως μὴ τίμιον ἀγοράζωμεν, σύνταξον δοθῆναι Ἀγαθίνωι ὅπως ἀποκομίσηι πρὸς ἡμᾶς. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους λ, Δίου ιη, Ἁθὺρ ιη. Νίκων περὶ ἐλαίου. Ζήνωνι.
