Θεόδωρος Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. ἐν τῶι κη ἔτει κατήχθησαν ἡμῖν εἰς Ἀλεξάνδρειαν ἃς ἐμετρήσαμεν ἐκ τῆς χώρας πυρῶν ἀρτάβαι ἐνενήκοντα. τούτων μεμετρήμεθα σοῦ συντάξαντος παρʼ Ἀρτεμιδώρου τοῦ ἐν Ἀλεξανδρείαι Ξανδικοῦ ια ἀρτάβην α, εἰκάδι ἀρτάβας δ, τριακάδι ἀρτάβας ι, Ἀρτεμισίου ἕκτηι ἐπʼ εἰκάδι ἀρτάβας ι, Λωίου πέμπτηι ἀρτάβας λ, γίνονται πυροῦ ἀρτάβαι νε, καὶ προσοφείλονται ἡμῖν παρὰ σοὶ πυρῶν ἀρτάβαι λε. καλῶς ἂν οὖν ποιήσαιςποήσαις γράψας παρʼ οὗ κομιούμεθα ἐν Ἀλεξανδρείαι. προκεχρη μένοι γὰρ σῖτον παρʼ Ἀρτεμιδώρου τοῦ γραμματέως σπουδάζομεν ἀποδοῦναι. καί νῦν δʼ ἐπιδημήσαντες ἐν Ἀλε ξανδρείαι τὸν ἐπὶ τῆς οἰκίας Ἀρτεμίδωρον ἀπῃτοῦμενἀπηιτοῦμεν λέγοντές σε προσοφείλειν, ὁ δʼ οὐκ ἔφη πρὸς αὑτὸν εἶναι περὶ τούτων οὐδὲ προσέξειν ἐὰν γράφηις. ὥστε φρόντισον περὶ τῆς κομιδῆς, ἵνα μὴ σοὶ τὴν τιμὴν κατὰ τὸ δίκαιον ἀνατιθῶμεν, εἰ μὴ νὴ Δῖα εὐκρινεῖς τοὺς μὲν λοιποὺς καὶ τὸ ἔσχατον τοῦς περὶ Σιμύλον ἀπειληφέναι, τὸ δʼ ἡμῖν γινόμενον ἐλλιπεῖν παρὰ σοῦ. φησὶ δὲ καὶ Ἀρτεμίδωρος ὁ γραμματεὺς σοῦ γράψαντος ὅπως μετρήσηται μηθένα προσεσχηκέναι. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους λ, Λώιου β, Μεσορὴ β.
