Ζήνωνι χαίρειν. εἰ ἔρρωσαι καὶ τὰ ἄλλατἆλλα σοί ἐστιν κατὰ πολλὴν χάριν ἔχομεν· ὑγιαίνομεν δὲ ας ἀργύριον οὔτε εἰς τὰ διαχώματα τηκεν λφείαι διὰ τὸ μὴ χορηγεῖν Ζωίλον τὸν οἰκονόμον. οὐ γάρ φησιν υτων. φρόντισον οὖ ἵνα εανπ ιομοι γραφῆι ὅπως εἰδῶ. παραγενόμενος δὲ εἰς Μέμφιν μ ταλάντου οἰόμενοί τι λήμψεσθαι οὐ συνεθη εκεν Δημόστρατον καὶ τὸν Θεοδώρου πατέρα κομίζοντας λαβόντες οὖν ταχιστ ετην Ἀρτεμίδωρος ὁ ἐπὶ τῆς συντάξεως ἐνἐμ Μέμφει ωλοτος ἤδη Δημοστράτου εἰς Κροκοδίλων πόλιν καὶ γράψαντος ται ἕως ἂν καύσηι τὰ ὑποζύγια, ὁ δʼ οὐ προσέσχεν. ἐμοῦ δὲ παραγενομένου εἰς Κροκοδίλων πόλιν καὶ διαμαρτυρομένου μου αὐτῶι ἐνώπιον Αἰγύπτου τὰ ὑποζύγια, ὁ δὲ οὐδʼ οὔτως προσέσχεν. ἔγραψα οὖν σοι ὅπως εἰδῆις. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους κθ, Φαρμοῦθι Ζήνωνι.
