Ἀμμώνιος καὶ Ἑρμοκλῆς Ἀπολλωνίωι τῶι τιμιωτάτωιτειμιωτάτωι χαίρειν. ἴσθι, οὐκ εὐκαίρως σχόντες ἐπὶ τοῦ παρόν τος διὰ τὴν τοῦ δημοσίου πυροῦ καταγωγὴν ἀποδραμεῖν πρὸς σὲ καὶ μέμψασθαι περὶ ων λυπούμεθα ὡς ἀδιάφοροι ἄνδρες ὑπὸ σοῦ διʼ ἧς ἔγραψας ἐπιστολῆς τῶι τοῦ Λυκοπολείτου στρατηγῶι Σαραπίωνι περὶ τοῦ μὴ κοινωνεῖν ἡμᾶς σοι ἡμίσους μέ ρους τοῦ ἄρακος, ἀλλʼ ἡμᾶς μερου μέρους καὶ σ ἐκ τρίτου καὶ τι ἐπελ θόντος το πειηγασθαιεεην καταθελπ τούτου. εἰ γὰρ μὴ ανευησωσ ταῖς παροχαῖς Ἀρτωρίου Πρισκίλλου τοῦ ἐπιστρα τηγήσαντος συνεζητοῦμεν περὶ τῶν μερῶν μενοι σὲ μὲν δύο μέρη λαβεῖν καὶ ἡμᾶς διδασμῶι τοῦ ἐν Ἑρμοπολείτηι ἄρακος ἐνπεπλέχθαι ἡμᾶς ω ηθηι ἡμν ἐξ ἡμίσους καὶ τότε εφειν σοι ἀπὸ τοῦ Ἑρμοπολείτου παραδοθῆναι τὴν ἡμίσειαν , ἵνα καὶ τοῖς γένε σιν καὶ τοῖς οις ἀποκουφισθῇς ι ἐπεσπεύσαμεν διὰ τῆς γραφῆς ἀλλήλοις θι μέντοι διὰ τοὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων θορύβους, νῦν μὲν σα ἐστὶν ἐπὶ τὴν συνείδησίν σου δρᾶν, ἧι σου φρονήσεις ηοεσσαθη ν παρενθυμηθῇς οὐ πολλοῦ ιος, ἀλλὰ καὶ στάσεως οὔσης. τούτου οὖν χάριν ἐπέμ ψαμεν πρὸς σὲ ποταμοφύ λακα, ἵνα ὅ τι ποτὲ φρο νεῖς ἀντιγράψῃς ἡμῖν καὶ δυνηθῆι ἐκπλεκῆναι τὸ πρᾶγμα πρὸ τῆς τοῦ κρα τίστου ἐπιστρατήγου εἰς τὸν Λυκοπολείτην ἐπιδημί ας. ἐρρῶσθαί σε εὔχομαι κύριε Ἀπολλωνίωι στρατηγῶι ἑπτακωμίας
