τὰ γραφέντα μοι παρὰ τῆς μεγαλοπρεποῦς ὑμῶν ἀδελφότητος ἐδεξάμην παρα δοθῆναι εἰς τὴν διώρυγα τῆς Λάτων, γεγράφηκα δυνατὸν ὅλους παραχωρῆσαι καὶ ἄνκάν τὸ ἥμισυ εἰ δὲ μὴ οἶδα τὴν στένωσιν καὶ λειψανδρίαν τῆς παγαρχίας ὑμῶν ἐπιτρέψῃ· καὶ ὁ δεσπότης ἡμῶν ὁ πανεύφημος ἀμιρᾶς πάντα ποιῆσαι εἰς σύστασιν τῶν δημοσίων τῷ εἰρημένῳ πανευφήμῳ ἀνδρὶ εἴτε εἰς τὴν ἀνακάθαρσιν εἴτε εἰς τὴν ἀνώρυξιν τοῦ ὑπολοίπου, ἵνα μετὰ σπουδῆς πρὸ τῶν δημοσίων τὸ τοιοῦτο ἔργον τελειωθῇ, καὶ ἀναχωρήσῃ ἕκαστος εἰς τὸντο ἴδιον κάματον. λοιπὸν μὴ κοπώθητε μαθεῖν ἀκριβῶς τὸν σκοπὸν αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἀνατρεπτέον λόγον ἐξερχόμενον ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ περὶ συστάσεως δημοσίων. λοιπὸν ἐὰν θέλετε μαθεῖν τὸ μέρος ὑμῶν, καὶ συνάξητε πολλοὺς ἄνδρας καὶ τελειώσατε τοῦτο καὶ ἀναχωρήσῃ ἕκαστος εἰς τὰ ἴδια. ἰδοὺ εἶπον τῷ Μηνασίῳ τοῦτο· παρασκευάσατε θαυμάζω δὲ πῶς μέχρι νῦν οὐ κατέλαβεν ἡ καταβολὴ ὑμῶν. λοιπὸν ἐὰν μήπω τ εὐθέως πέμψατε αὐτὴν καὶ ἄρξασθε εἰς τὴν δευτέραν μηνὶ Μεχὶρ ζ ἰνδικτίονος ια τῷ τὰ πάντα περιβλέπτῳ καὶ τιμιωτάτῳτιμαξίῳ ἀδελφῷ Παπᾷ σύν Θεῷ παγάρχῳ Ἀπόλλωνος Ἄνω Ἡλίας νοτάριος
