Δίδυμος Ἀπολλωνίωι τῶι τιμιωτάτωι χαίρειν. καλῶς ποιήσεις συνελθὼν Αἰλουρίωνι τῶι κομίζον τί σοι τὸ ἐπιστόλιον, ὅπως εἰς τὴν ἑορτὴνἑωρτὴν περιστε ρίδιαπεριστερείδια ἡμῖνἡμεῖν ἀγοράσηι, καὶ ἐρωτηθεὶς κατελ θὼν συνευωχηθῇςσυνευωχηθῆι ἡμῖνἡμεῖν. τοῦτο οὖν ποιή σας ἔσῃ μοι μεγάλην χάριταχάριταν κατατεθειμένος. ἄσπασαι τοὺς σοὺς πάντας. ἔρρωσο. ἔτους τρίτου Αὐτοκράτορος Καίσαρος Δομιτιανοῦ Σεβαστοῦ Γερμανικοῦ Παχὼν ιε. εἰς Βακχιάδα ἀπόδος Ἀπολλωνίωι τῶι τιμιωτάτωιTranslations (1)
Didymos seinem hochgeschätzten Apollônios Freude. Du wirst gut tun, den Ailûriôn, der dir das Briefchen überbringt, zu begleiten, damit er uns fürs Fest Täubchen kauft. Sei auch gebeten, herabzukommen und mit uns zu feiern. Tust du das, so wirst du mir eine große Gunst erwiesen haben. Grüße all die Deinen. Lebe wohl.
