Description

Petition to the strategos of the Herakleides division of the Arsinoite nome in which the writer of the petition reports an accident involving severe injury to his brother. Although the details are uncertain, it appears that one of the brothers, Atammon, fell from a roof in the village of Kaminou, the accident having been in some way occasioned by an attack by Libyans. The injured man has received no medical attention and his brother petitions the strategos to take some action so that Atammon's life may be spared

About this record's data
  • From the source institution — accession, description, dimensions, and dating are as catalogued by Papyri.info — APIS (Advanced Papyrological Information System) — papyri.
  • AI-inferred — the image-analysis panel (deities, names, signs) is machine-generated and may be wrong.
  • Approximate location — most map points are plotted at the site centroid, not the exact findspot.
  • Inferred links — cross-references marked with a match method other than explicit-source-field were matched by us, not stated by the source.
  • Inherited across the Trismegistos spine — a Trismegistos ID names one ancient text, and papyrology splits that text's description across databases: the edition in one, the date and provenance in another, the physical papyrus in a third. Fields tagged via … on this page were read from a sibling record under the same TM number, not asserted by Papyri.info — APIS (Advanced Papyrological Information System) — papyri.
