ἐπὶ ὑπάτων τῶν κυρίων ἡμῶν Κωνσταντίου καὶ Μαξιμιανοῦ τῶν ἐπιφανεστάτων Καισάρων τὸ γ. Αὐρηλίῳ Ζηναγένει στρατηγῷ Ὀξυρυγχείτου παρὰ Αὐρηλίων Ὡρίωνος Θέωνος καὶ Χωσίωνος τοῦ καὶ Ἀμυντιανοῦ καὶ Διδύμου τοῦ καὶ Σαραπίωνος Πύρρου τῶν τριῶν συστατῶν τῆς λαμπρᾶς καὶ λαμπροτάτης Ὀξυρυγχιτῶν πόλεως. ἐπιζητοῦντί σοι ἐκ προστάξεως τοῦ διασημοτάτου ἡμῶν ἡγεμόνος Κλαυδίου Κλεοπάτρου εἰ Ἀμμώνιος Στεφάνου τῶν αὐτόθι γνῶσιν αὐτοῦ τὸ τοιοῦτο ἀνενεγκεῖν ἐξετάσαι τῶν ἡμετέρων βιβλίων ἑκαστ φυλῆς γενόμενος τοῦτον οὐδαμοῦ δ φαινόμενονφενόμενον ν οὐθοποτερο καὶ διὰ τοῦτο προσφωνοῦμεν.
