Description

This letter is concerned with farm matters. Julianus writes to Kopres and asks that the latter send up Bathlas along with some animals which belong to Koryphos. These animals include some donkeys and one ass. The purpose for sending these animals was to enable Koryphos to come after some ropes for the vineyards. The animals, of course, would be used to transport the ropes.

About this record's data
  • From the source institution — accession, description, dimensions, and dating are as catalogued by Papyri.info — APIS (Advanced Papyrological Information System) — papyri.
  • AI-inferred — the image-analysis panel (deities, names, signs) is machine-generated and may be wrong.
  • Approximate location — most map points are plotted at the site centroid, not the exact findspot.
  • Inferred links — cross-references marked with a match method other than explicit-source-field were matched by us, not stated by the source.
  • Inherited across the Trismegistos spine — a Trismegistos ID names one ancient text, and papyrology splits that text's description across databases: the edition in one, the date and provenance in another, the physical papyrus in a third. Fields tagged via … on this page were read from a sibling record under the same TM number, not asserted by Papyri.info — APIS (Advanced Papyrological Information System) — papyri.
