Description

This text contains a letter from Dionysios to Theon concerning farm matters. Theon is urged by Dionysios to see to it that the cattle of Fabius remain where they are until the 12th of Tybi so that they may begin their pasture-feeding on the 13th. Dionysios points out that this woould be in keeping with Theon's own idea that the vegetable seed that had been sown should be irrigated before the pastures. The addressee is also asked to bring six bundles of charlock.

About this record's data
  • From the source institution — accession, description, dimensions, and dating are as catalogued by Papyri.info — APIS (Advanced Papyrological Information System) — papyri.
  • AI-inferred — the image-analysis panel (deities, names, signs) is machine-generated and may be wrong.
  • Approximate location — most map points are plotted at the site centroid, not the exact findspot.
  • Inferred links — cross-references marked with a match method other than explicit-source-field were matched by us, not stated by the source.
  • Inherited across the Trismegistos spine — a Trismegistos ID names one ancient text, and papyrology splits that text's description across databases: the edition in one, the date and provenance in another, the physical papyrus in a third. Fields tagged via … on this page were read from a sibling record under the same TM number, not asserted by Papyri.info — APIS (Advanced Papyrological Information System) — papyri.
